The Spirit Of 9/11: A Numerological Perspective

It happened 11 years ago today.  And though the energy of 9/11/2001 is identical to the energy of 7/4/1776 (a 11/5 day), it is the sub-vibration of 11 I’d like to focus on today.  Especially the 11 Master Number cycle and what it teaches us.  After all, the upcoming Dec 21, 2012 that everyone is focusing so much energy on, is a 33/11 day – double master numbers that contain the Martyr and the Spiritual Teacher – pushing the fulfillment of 11 on that day.  Because the whole world is focused on it, it can’t help but be important.  And today speaks ahead to us about the important role 11 brings.

The affects of an 11 cycle can be felt physically in our daily lives, in our very existence on this planet.  Our weather and life as we know it are affected and created through the 11 month lunar and the 11 year solar flare cycle.  Our seasons, our space weather.  Things we depend upon, and events that surprise us.  It’s spiritual impact is also subtle and has been less prevalent, until now.

It happened 11 years ago today.  The Twin Towers fell and the Pentagon was attacked.  A terrible act of hatred against innocent people was executed.  People died as the planes crashed into the buildings.  People died as they tried to save the lives of others.

And though hatred danced, sang and cheered, Innocence, Love, Unity and Heroism abounded that day.  And not just love – the feeling, but Love – the action.

For a moment, all differences erased.  For a moment, nothing else mattered than your fellow man.  For a moment, the daily facade we build around us snapped.

In that instant, we weren’t Republicans and Democrats (and the rest ignored by the two), we weren’t liberals and conservatives, we weren’t colored and white, we weren’t UT vs. A&M, we weren’t east vs. west, south vs. north, men vs. women.

There are a whole lot of divisive things we weren’t that day.  We weren’t any of these labels.

11  represents the Unity within Paradox Principal.  It represents the existence of two seeming opposite energies that exist in a perfect whole within seeming paradox.  It shows us the essential balance there must be for this physical plane of existence to be and represents the bridge between here and the next dimension.  It also represents great trials, tribulations and spiritual testing.  It represents the Gateway of Transformation.

With the exception of those who carry this particular vibration on a personal level, so much of our modern lives have been spent without the significant presence of this number’s energies.  It’s true that about 3 days out of every month will hold this Master vibration.  However, the energy is always short lived.  Any lasting submersion into the energy emotionally and on an individual level comes from larger patterns.  And when we look at the Western calendar, it happens in the passing Years.

The phenomenon of the last millennium in terms of Master Number years is that the closer we got to the year 2000, the fewer and fewer 11 years we experienced as a Western society and the increase of other types of Master Number years.  1910 was the last 11 year experienced in the 20th century.  Go back and look at the significant events that took place in 1901 to 1910.  Very interesting.

Then came 2009, the first 11 year experienced in 99 years.  Go back and think about that year.  If you talk to folks, you’ll hear a lot about how difficult that year was for people.  However, you will also find that no one agrees or quite can put their finger on the reason why.  This is because 11 is a powerful Master Number that not only challenges us, but it challenges us in spiritual ways that have nothing to do with what is happening physically.  It often challenges us through our greatest fears, which is very individual and unique to each of us.  What challenges you is not necessarily what challenges me and visa versa.  And it’s supposed to be that way.

To make it even more interesting, no matter who we voted into the presidential office to begin that year, all the men we were voting for carry a Life Lesson of 11.  Even the female candidate carries a life lesson of 33 – the master number of the Martyr.  Wow.  With all that focus that a public office like the presidency carries, with a life lesson that compounds the 1st 11 year in 99 years – I’d never want to be that person.

And 2009 was just the beginning.  Once we flipped into the new millennium, we will now begin to hit 11 years every decade.  It’s no wonder the fearful stories in human history that surround the changing of millenniums.  It forces societal change.  And we’re here, on the brink of history being made.

And don’t be complaining about it.  You’ve been asking for this.  It’s happening.  The world is evolving.  So Be Love Now.

11 is the Job number.  You can read a nicely indepth wiki synapses of the biblical story of Job here.  But essentially, in this poetic story, God describes Job as a righteous man.  And the Devil (or more correctly translated – Adversary) comes forward and says – “Oh yeah?  Job’s only righteous because You’ve blessed him.  Curse him and give him to me.  Hurt him and cause him pain.  I’ll show You that he’s not righteous after all.  In the end, he’ll curse You and You’ll see what he really is.”

As a quick side note:  I do caution you not to write off the historical inspired writings of the world, just because religions of the world have abused them and their responsibilities at some point.  You don’t have to have a particular religious viewpoint to gain from the writings of ancient peoples.  The universal lessons illustrated are valuable. Just as there are timeless inspired messages  of today, there also always have been throughout human time.  It’s our job to consider and learn.

So to get back to our story, God agrees and lets the Adversary do horrible things to Job.  The Adversary kills Job’s 10 children, takes away his home and all his thousands of animals, his clothes and riches.  He even gets God’s permission to strike Job’s own person and gives him boils from head to toe.  In the end, Job is sitting as a bum on the side of the road, wearing sackcloth and pouring ashes on himself because he’s in so much pain.

And Job still didn’t curse God.  He was still a righteous man.

What’s further interesting about the lesson of Job, and how perfect an analogy it makes for the energy of the Archetypal 11, is that his friends become convinced that Job must have done something wrong to deserve what has happened to him.  (Maybe he has karmic debt?)  Once upon a time they respected him, looked up to him as a leader, as a righteous man, as an example before God.  Now they judge him, consider themselves to be better than him and in their efforts to “help” him, they harass him and tell him that he must confess his sins and change his life.  He must repent, they say!  They’re not quite sure what he did, but he had to have done something horribly wrong.  They cannot believe that he did nothing to deserve his horrible current life and instead of supporting him through the pain, they judge and no longer think the best of him.  (Maybe he manifested this because he did not have enough faith, or positive thinking?  Maybe he attracted his circumstance because like attracts like? Maybe it was because he had been rich?  Maybe it was because of his ego?)  And so even Job’s friends become part of the “punishment.”

And still, even when his friends and his own wife no longer believe in him, Job remains a righteous and good man.  He passes the test.  He transits that gate of transformation.  He moves on to the next level of enlightenment.

11 is a powerful number for spiritual service.  It is the number of the Spiritual Teacher, whether the spiritual teacher is embodied as a person, or the energy is embodied as a lesson.  It is the Light Bringer, The Way Show-er.  That is the Blessed Divinity of the number; the manifestation of righteousness.  And don’t confuse that with the overused and abused description of righteousness that religions have tried to program into the world.  Neither Love nor Enlightenment is ever about control or taking away choices.  You must arrive and experience on your own.  This is only achieved through freedom.  No one can force you to come to enlightenment or righteousness (meaning without guilt or wrong-doing).  Just think about what the term “without guilt” alone means.  It’s not just that you did nothing to be guilty as in a court of law, but also that you are not burdened by it either.  That you do not even assign guilt where it does not belong.  Get away from the marketing hype of the world and look at the actual energies behind the words around you, especially the words you find to be triggers for you.  Words do mean things and nowhere more so than in numerology do we understand and needs respect this.  God spoke and everything came into BEing.  Words and their energies are powerful and important.

However, 11 brings undeserved persecution and spiritual testing, not unlike as it was for Job.  Not necessarily that under 11 it would happen that you will experience such to the level that Job did in the story outlined above, but the essence of the lesson is there.  The lessons may radiate into the physical, but they are not physical lessons by nature.  They are spiritual lessons.  Why is 11 meant to be all this?  Because our souls agreed to it for the overcoming.  Only through overcoming do we grow.  We reach enlightenment through exercise.  Though sometimes we do learn and grow from them, we don’t need karmic debt and “sin” to learn and grow.  We can be challenged through the sheer joy of being on this planet, in this incarnation, to learn what this plane of existence has to offer us.  Our souls can choose to be presented with hardships just for the sake of both learning and teaching.  We don’t have to deserve them.  We don’t have to pay a price.  We just get to receive the lessons for free, without trade.  Maybe it doesn’t seem as interesting as rocket science, but it’s as, if not more, important.  We are actively forwarding the evolution of a spiritual race.

So you think you are a good person.  Others think you are a good person.  Is it really true?  Did you mean it?  Or the instant that you find yourself challenged… the instant that you are faced with your greatest fear, your greatest pang, your greatest loss (I cannot imagine much worse than the loss of a child, much less 10 of them), your greatest irritant and your biggest button that someone might push… do you go off the track?  Are you no longer dependable to be that good and safe person you believe yourself to be?  Will you still be kind to people if your car breaks down?  Can you still be at One and share love and unity with someone whether they are a liberal or a conservative or not?

Can you. In the face of a terrorist attack upon you and your neighbors. Forget the damn labels, embrace your fellow human and recognize their absolute Divinity and perfection in the eyes of God.  The I AM you supposedly claim to be.

And can you do this even 11 years later.

This is what 11 begs of you.  What reality have you chosen?

DECEMBER/JANUARY 2009 NUMEROLOGY WATCH – YEAR END…

It’s December 2009.  Whew!  How’d ya’ll enjoy November!  Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

As we wind down the year 2009, it is a good time to make changes and set the pace for the next year to begin.   Mercury goes retrograde the day after Christmas and stays retrograde until Jan 15th.  December and January will be about balance between friends, socializing and adventure with responsibility and planning. 

December itself should feel like a bit of relief as we end the year, as spiritual lessons and challenges are reduced over all.  However one last kick back of the lessons of the master number 11 will take place before we say goodbye to 2009 forever.  I expect this will affect the US leadership as this energy compounds our president’s and vice president’s life lessons. 

Shop early and wisely this season, but include some spontaneity as well.  When those opportunities arise to let down your hair, don’t ignore them.  It’s been a tough year.  Be wise, but have some fun and salve some wounds.  Friendships play an important role both as stress release and in helping us make decisions.  There will be an important decision and evaluation to be made before the end of the year is done.  And it may just resolve itself over the holiday.  All the better if you are able to take some time off during the holiday to sort things out.   Don’t forsake the fun, it plays an important role in this process.  Yes, this month you can have your cake and eat it too, if you remember the key word – BALANCE.

As we slip into January, master number energy significantly drops off except for the master number 22, which makes it’s presence known and compounds the US’s current 22 cycle.  January begins with Mercury in retrograde, but the emphasis will turn to the new year’s energies.  Leadership and responsibility start the year off, though expect some delays in process.  Though some energies give us a break for a while, there is an arch of influence that is rather long in January – 10 days actually.  I expect to see issues involving law and government to play pivotal roles during this time.  It is also a good time to exercise your networking and family building skills.  Foundations are not just about getting organized, it’s also about beginning, renewing and building relationships and partnerships.  Do not get so stuck in the head that the heart suffers!  And if you’ve been so busy trying to survive that you’ve left off some simple courtesies when it comes to friendship and love, it’s time to take a deep breath and Live.  December’s energies give you the perfect lead in for this by giving you the social opportunities, or at least setting the energy to make it work for you should you choose to seize the moment.  Again I say, the end of this year sets the course for next year.   2010 will bring new challenges in the arenas of career, reputation, karma, service and responsibility.  Start preparing now as if the new year has already begun, if you haven’t heeded my advice yet.  It’s not too late.

I would like to note folks, that on December 21, please be careful while driving on this day.  Whether you are traveling, or just going to work, plan for extra time on the road and be prepared to be patient with others.  This is a day we all really need to be as “zen” as possible on the roads and certainly not take anything personal on the roads either.  When I see this kind of stress pattern fall like this on a Monday, much less surrounded by a bunch of other energies, I see far more car accidents in the Austin area.  It may not be like this everywhere, but I expect it will likely be on this date.  Some could argue that the energy of traveling and looking forward to seeing friends and family could shift more typical daily impatience on the road, but I’m not sure that it will.  I expect traffic on the big highways, especially metro areas, to be at a high.  There will likely be flight delays too, so just keep it in mind and plan plenty of time.  Get there safe!

NOVEMBER 2009 NUMEROLOGY WATCH…

It’s November 2009.  A month I’ve been waiting to experience.  There’s not much going on (in my book) in astrological or other circles.  This month’s significance is really all NUMBER.  The 11th month in the first 11 year in 99 years.  I’ve already written extensively about what the master number 11 means.  You can find much detail on the number 11 on my blog here. 

I know everyone is waiting for specific dates, and certainly, I have provided some.  But the truth and reality is, the entire month of November 2009 is significant.  And I expect much out of this month, manifesting both on the personal as well as national/societal levels. 

This entire year has inherently been about a time of unveiling.  A revealing of that which is hidden.  A truth that is brought out, even when you don’t recognize it at first.  Some pockets of dates stronger than others.  But this especially sets up during this month, as we also get closer to the end of this year.  It’s a new millenium.  Things are different now.  11 is setting the anchor.  What used to work just won’t work as well anymore and now there are new things and ways to learn.  And some things people didn’t realize are about to be revealed as they begin to fail.  As well as the characters of friends, family and role models become more transparent.  Sometime this month you will likely discover either a friend or an enemy, realistically or metaphorically, in plain sight of your everyday life. 

This month brings both challenge and transformation, I expect especially in the arena of law and government, but also our personal foundations and relationships.   It also presents choice and sacrifice.  And in all things, a call to do that which is right, without compromise (of the honor sort) no matter what.  It’s not about what happens, it’s about what you do with it. 

Speaking of compromise, there is a push for that as well, of the loving cooperative sort.  But it is not what most people think of.  Most people seem to think compromise means, do/see things my way.  True compromise requires all parties to give something up equally.   A meeting in the middle does not require more from another than of yourself.  And sometimes it means scrap everything and find another way.  Cooperation is key to this Compromise.  It’s a two way street.  And sometimes cooperation means trying something new altogether.

11-11-2009 is a date of great significance for obvious reasons.  With 2009 being an 11 year, that brings the vibrations to 11-11-11.  For once, the world will focus on the number pattern of this date for what it truly is, without dropping the 2 in 2009 or something else folks seem to often do when they look at numbers.  11-11-11 IS significant numerologically.  And it will have even more significance as the world focusses on it and gives it energy.  That which you give energy and focus to will manifest.  And when the world’s attention falls on something that truly is significant, whether we realize it or not, then the energy will be that much more augmented.  This entire week is ripe with potential.  11-29-2009 will also be a very powerful date, though it’s presence will be a little more subtle.

11-11-2009 carries the master number 33 in totality.  33 is the master number of Unconditional Love and Self-Sacrifice.  You can read extensively on my blog about 33 here.  Coupled with the energies of 11, a great deal of responsiblity and leadership falls during this time.  And the sacrifice?  Might not be the way you think about it.  Unconditional Love is not always soft and emotional.  It is very action oriented too.  For instance, true Love does not allow someone to hurt themselves or another.  It is not loving to enable abuse.  It is not loving to neglect.  Unconditional Love and sacrifice often means out of Love, I do that which is right for the greater good, no matter how un-popular.  Unconditional Love is expressed in the Native American way of making decisions with the lives of those who are 13 generations into the future in mind.  That it’s not just about now, or tomorrow, but 100 years from now too.  That we are careful about the doors we open, lest they not be able to be closed again.  That we slow down, as every major religious and spiritual approach in the world pleads with us to do.  To slow down, to clear our minds, to talk to God as we understand it, and listen to the small still voice within. 

The US will have more challenge before the year is done, involving boundaries, discipline, work ethic, government and law.  We are currently in a 22 cycle and all the master number energies are raining down on us now.  You can read more about 22 on my blog here.  Part of it makes it a good time to put things in order.  But part of it creates challenge to keep it simple silly.  To many details spoil this energy.  It is not suited for loads of details.  It is suited for simple and clear.  And this energy, if anything, calls for a diet.  It is the same energy that manifests de-cluttering.  It pushes us to strip out the fat, to tighten our belts and go to the gym. 

On a personal level, I highly recommend that now is the time to prepare for next year.  Look ahead now, as the challenge next year brings will likely involve reputation, business and career.  January 2010 will give you a second shot, but Mercury will be retrograde through the first half, so get started now and wrap up anything that needs completing in 2009.  Your window of opportunity is small this time.

Now is a time of testing.  As individuals.  As a nation.  It is not impossible to abuse master number energy.  Hitler was a master number person, as much as Edgar Cayce.  It will be pressed upon us, as well as our leaders, to take the higher road and not just live honorably and true, but lead as well.  The numerological path of The United States of American is 99.  The responsibility to be a Light and example to the world.  And the responsibility to be there for the rest of the world as well, no matter how lonely at times.  Our nation’s rife with master numbers, surrounding our every major step for growth and around our every challenge.  We’re experiencing number patterns that have not been experienced since our nation began at the threshold of revolution.  It is a time of transformation.

What is the Significance of 9-29-2009?

 Thanks to Kerrin for her comments and questions from the last blog entry.  I started to answer her in the comment section, and then this became longer than a short answer, so I decided to post it for everyone’s benefit.  Consider it a mini class.   🙂

You could say that all dates have significance, as no day is exactly the same as any other. Sept 29, 2009 in looking at it written out as a reduced number date, does have two 11s. However, it is in the number reduction pattern where we find the most significance. Though every 29th day of a month carries an 11 aspect to it, it is not the full nature of the date. And though we are currently in an 11 year, the first in 99 years, again, it’s the full date that we look at. To do otherwise would be like trying to say – sum you up by your middle name only.  Your middle name has purpose, but it is not the whole of who you are.  As a name or as a numerological consideration.

9 is the humanitarian number that never takes away, so certainly, 11 energy is present on this date. It also depends on the method of number reduction. Possibly a “purist” way to look at dates is to add the full 29 + 9 + 2009 = 2047 = 13/4.   As we know in modern numerology, 29 and 11, though related, are not the exact same vibration. And we like to honor each collective as they truly are.

Another method of reduction is to reduce just the year, then add. This would give you 9+29+11 = 49/9. And yet another accepted method is reduce month and day together and then add reduced year. 9+29 = 38/11 + 2009/11 = 22. This is a less common way of looking at a date and requires more steps, so in that regard, I consider the 22 to have less influence.  And of course the 31 you mentioned by reducing 9+11 = 20 + 11 = 31, reduces to the base number 4.  4 is the number of structure, boundaries, organization and law.  Think of how an outline or a skeleton is so important to serve as a foundation and you’ll understand the basic energy of 4. 

That being said, when I post dates of significance, it’s because there is more than just a significant number involved, converging upon that point in the calendar. I find when you look at multiple parts of the whole pie and find several parts of significance in the same spot – that’s where I get more interested. Many times we don’t realize until hindsight just how the energy shifted on those dates and foundations were laid for the future. For instance – oil was discovered at Spindletop on a master number day during an 11 year, after a series of significant patterns that took place prior. At the time, there was no way anyone could really understand the significance of what took place there. And yet, it was a turning point for every bit of our modern society and transportation as we know it.

One of the primary laws we numerologists supposedly operate by is that “What’s bound on Earth is bound in Heaven.”

If this is the truth, then by that very law, when you have a variety of long-term highly accepted methods of reduction, no matter what school of thought they come from, they must all have validity and value. And you have to consider them all.

Because of this very nature, I don’t endorse the idea sometimes out there that “this one way of number reduction is the correct and only way to do this.” Especially when there are major schools of thought that have been around a very long time. Not much better than religions arguing with each other over who is most righteous and knows God best. There are many paths and many flocks. This is just my way of looking at number patterns. I like to see it all.

September/October 2009 Numerology Watch…..

Some general Fall/Winter 2009 astrology data for you:

Mercury, Jupiter, Uranus, and Neptune are all currently retrograde. Pluto just went direct Sept. 11th. And there is a Mercury-Sun Conjunction Sept 20.

As I write this, we find ourselves under a Mercury retrograde, which often governs communication gone awry. And though unlike many of my collegues, I do not avoid writing during this time, I will however focus on a more general outlook. I’m even teaching a numerology class during the retrograde and on a very intense Master Number day. Daring I tell ya. I’m really wild now. Although the Master Number energy present on September 24th (the day of my class) is perfect for spiritual teaching. Remember – it’s what you do with it. Channel that energy the direction it seeks to flow. If it seeks to be more reflective and spiritual, then that’s your focus. If it seeks to be more physical and emotional, then that’s the focus you need. It’s a tool – use it.

Jupiter is currently retrograde as well, still making physical and monetary goals harder to achieve and pushing us to more spiritual pursuits. However, it will go direct October 13. On top of that, in number energy there follows a lull after October 2 as we are sandwiched between two intense cycles of paradoxical energies that push us to our higher spiritual selves and away from physical pursuits as well. These energies also push trials and challenges our direction. A revealing of hidden truths and realities has been in operation with these number patterns, which we’ll find culminating in January. Suppose you’ve already noticed all these though?

It is a great time for us to be learning and growing. For it is only when we are faced with challenge that we can overcome. If you don’t know something is wrong, you can’t fix it and you don’t know what you don’t know. “Nature” is seeking to balance itself.

So many details are surfacing to challenge peoples ideas, ideals and preconceived notions. They are also surfacing to challenge “group think” or what I like to call “box think.” As a society, we are learning that as long as we insist on using boxes to label things as one or another, there will ultimately never be enough boxes. It is a time for us to face our illusions – and we all have them. No one, not I or even the most spiritual person in the world is exempt. If you are physical, this is present in your life. It is simply a sign of the plateau in development we are about to jump as a spiritual race. Everyone talks about the world evolving – this is part of that process, part of the answer everyone has been seeking. It is nothing to fear, nor is it something to feel you shouldn’t be affected by if you’re pursuing a spiritual life.

As of this writing, we are getting ready to launch into a week of intense energies that present many challenges, some of them very surprising. And the answer to these challenges in all cases comes ultimately to just this: It’s not what happens – it’s what you do and how you handle it. It is all about responsibility as a spiritual being and what that means. And it has little to do with the physical circumstances. Make the best decisions you can. Be careful with your words. Don’t give in to drama and keep it simple and cut to the soul of the matter.

Once we get through this pattern, numerologically it becomes a better time than it has been in a while for business. So for everyone that matters to, gear up and make your plans now to channel that energy spike. And as Jupiter goes direct in the middle of the month, even more so. For those in business, I believe October and Fall sales, probably Halloween in particular, will show strength. They might even be better than Xmas. Artistic endeavors also stand to do the best during this time, as do also all things that involve experiential entertaining and memories. That is where we should see some activity. And that kind of energy coupled with the usual energy of the Halloween/Fall holiday season should hold some significant spikes. However, the favor tips towards that which stands out, enhances social occasion and quality. Energy of the inventor and pioneer are strong at this time as well. So think in terms of new ways to do things that haven’t been done before. Serious business can be accomplished during this time, if we’re talking about buying substance. December sales energetically appear likely to have a short window spike, so prepare now.

A note on recent focus on 9-09-2009 and 9-11-2009….

As I’ve mentioned before, I do not necessarily support emphasis on certain dates on this blog just because everyone else is talking about it. Nor do I think you likely read my blog to hear the same information you get from everyone else. Why bring it up? Because my purpose is to teach. Why not bring it up sooner? Because it is not my purpose to divide, or distract anyone from pursuing a more spiritual ideal or the positive focus taking place at that time.

There are important messages in number patterns that should not be ignored. However, numerologically…. 9-9-2009 is not a 9 day, it is an 11 day, which we get roughly 3 times a month. And that date is not really strong in 9 energy numerologically, it would be considered strong in 11 energy. Because 9 is the number that supports and never takes away from another vibration. It serves to enhance others, not take over the lime light.

Dropping the 2 in 2009 is a numerological no-no. The true most recent 9-9-9 day was 9-9-2007. Which I preached about back then. 9-11-2009 has a little more significance, but not in the sea of note we are experiencing this year. It was not enough for me to note this time, even though Pluto did also go direct on that date.

Anything you choose to give focus to will manifest by spiritual law. When the world focusses on a particular date, yes, something can most definitely manifest. And ultimately whatever it takes to get folks to focus on more positive things is fine for me. If focussing on 9-09-2009 brings folks to a place of harmony, and helps them strive to be a better person and love their fellow man, then great. It becomes a great tool. However, it is not my purpose in this blog to note that which is emphasized by the physical. My purpose is to note those patterns which are Divinely present without regard to Mankind’s focus. They exist with or without our attention. Numerologically, I did not find 9-09-2009 to be significant of and by itself. It only becomes significant because of temporary physical focus. This does not make it the same type of energy and message present divinely within number patterns rooted at the core.

Patterns that do have divinely ordained messages from their core…. As you will notice below, November 11 is highlighted in red. There is a reason for that. It will be a very powerful date. And likely the world will focus on it, increasing the energetic reality of it on both spiritual and physical planes. Great things are afoot and this energy is powerful for all things spiritual. JULY/AUGUST 2009 NUMEROLOGY WATCH – ZOMBIES ARE COMING…

This will be a long entry while we first – recap some information and then second – get to the point. 

The month of July through the first week of August  is quite an energetically intense time for us in the good ‘ol USA. We’ve just flipped into a national 22/4 annual cycle, we’re in an 11/2 year on the western calendar, with a new president and vice-president who both carry the life lessons of 11/2 (in their birthdays).  And it just so happens to be that the way the equations add up this month, in this year, we hit some unique master number compounds – all around the same time as we experience 3 eclipses within a 30 day period. 

Eclipses have throughout history been symbolic of cleansing and facing challenges. Master numbers are symbolic of facing spiritual challenges, the “hand of destiny” and holding ourselves to a higher standard.  Spiritually speaking, seeing these events take place together, represents a very significant time to face, cleanse and overcome and denotes a more societal movement. That sort of process also generally brings with it an unveiling of some sort, and a revealing of truth – sometimes something we didn’t want to see.  As such, I find myself taking note.  All in all, it’s certainly an intense and busy time indeed.

OK, so what exactly does that mean?  Eclipses, master numbers, astral events?

Though I may see significance in patterns around us, I do not adhere to the dire predictions or dramatic interpretations that have floated around about these eclipses being once in a lifetime events, or paving the way for the end of the world, or predicting a miriad of unlikely events or for that matter representing spiritual agreement with political parties or the like, etc., etc..  (True spirituality does not choose division.)  And I’ve already basically addressed this position in a previous entry.  However, as an addendum, I love what Anne from Stariel Astrology recently wrote about this matter as well!  You can read her down to earth “rant” on recent astrological claims here: http://www.stariel.com/?p=953.

What I’m talking about comes from the recognition of the Duality of Life.  That everything physical radiates into the spiritual and has an unending relationship and connection that cannot be broken.  Part of this time is about spiritual challenges in your life. If you think you are “awake and aware” you may be tested to see if you really are.  If you think you are a “good person” you might be challenged to see if you really are even under matters of great stress.  If you believe in an honor code, you might be put to the metal to see if you stick by it, or run when the going gets tough.  It is a time of testing and practice and it’s all here as a blessing to you.  Purging is often a very healthy part of life.

All such events happen with regularity.  But in today’s world from a spiritual perspective, when I observe these events colliding with one another or layering, I get more interested in the punctuation of the present energy.  And what we see is a time that allows for us to face things we haven’t faced.

I know, I know. We hear that rather frequently in the spiritual circles. But this month in general is a bit different and a bit more “grab your attention and yank” than others.

And so I have equated this to being somewhat like Zombies. Yes – ZOMBIES….

Life in Austin is just - never boring.....

Why? Because it’s the perfect analogy for this. It’s most certainly a time when issues from the past can haunt elements of the present. Identities, realities and truths are challenged. What you see is not always what you get. What you believe is not always built on solid ground. Even sometimes what you believe your “issues” are. 

So let’s take a look at “The Zombie Equation” here. When you get a mix of cleansing energies like this, things from the past, some you might have long thought dead and gone, can suddenly rise up out of the grave and appear right in front of you, to challenge you. Now it’s possible you might not even recognize them for what they are. After all a challenge of reality also brings itself into the mix here.  You might not know what you’re even looking at, at first.  And think about it, just how real would it seem to you at first if you did suddenly find yourself face to face with a zombie anyway? What-Huh…? 

Energetically, this isn’t much different.

This cleansing pattern digs deep this time, which is where some of the surprise comes into play.  Because the issues that come to surface for cleansing might not always be what you generally would expect. In terms of possible zombie analogies of “who” might come back to haunt you, it might not be mom or dad or an ex who surface to challenge you in their zombie form this time. This time, it just might be your distant Uncle Bob, or something else you might not have recognized having an issue with before, like say your neighbor’s old dog Fluffy.  But suddenly it’s here now and in your face and you have to figure out what it is and deal with it.

You might not even recognize Uncle Bob at first when he pops up in your face.  After all, you don’t recall him being on your “issue” radar, either ever or in forever. But suddenly, here’s Uncle Bob, in your face and threatening to take your heart and cause you great pain. 

So a unique time like this grants the opportunity to dig deep and reveal issues that need attention so they can truly go away.  These could be minor issues you didn’t pay attention to and these could be deep layers of issues you’ve been chipping away at for years. 

It also presents an opportunity to “test your muster.”  What happens inside of you when the zombies of your life come and threaten to take it away?  What happens to your sense of Truth when your world is turned upside down or backwards or you are faced with something you’ve just never had to face before?  What happens if you are shown a weakness you’ve never seen in yourself before?  Or you are shown a fact or reality that you refused to believe existed before.  Maybe Uncle Bob really isn’t such a nice guy.  Maybe he really is a zombie and you’ve just got to accept that fact and deal with that.

The lesson which master numbers ask of us is “Will you still hold to your Truth, Commitment and Light no matter what?”  Or when your zombies show up, do you look for someone to trip so you have a better chance to run?  Your zombies won’t go away on their own.  You won’t know of their existence unless they hunt you down to face them.  They have to be recognized for who and what they are and they have to be faced.  Only then can they be brought to final rest.  So when Uncle Bob has risen from the grave and is chasing you, you need to stop running, turn and face him and see what he wants and carefully put him to rest.  Just don’t let him take your heart.

I had intended to finish writing this article much sooner, but unfortunately, some zombies of my own got in the way….  Like me, you have to face them and deal with them so they don’t become permanent blockages in your Life.

Recap on Some Details About Summer 2009

• Jupiter went retrograde, making the pursuit of money and materialism even more difficult.

• Two penumbral lunar eclipses and one total solar eclipse will take place July 7, July 22 and August 6 – all within 30 days of each other. 2009 is interesting in that there are 6 solar/lunar eclipses this year. Most years there are only four and they usually pair up one lunar and one solar within a month’s period. In poking around the data, the last time we had this sort of lunar-solar-lunar eclipse grouping within a 30 day period was in May/June 2002. And in 2000 we had a solar-lunar-solar eclipse pattern between July 1-31.

• This occasional pattern of triple-eclipse play-out doesn’t usually occur as 6 eclipses within a particular year, but rather only 5, which I find interesting numerologically speaking. Not so much for the 6 vs. 5, as much as it’s an aberrant pattern.  That during our first 11 year (2009) in 99 years (since 1910), 2009 as an energy will also include experience of a total of 6 eclipses, not the more usual 4-5.  So we see a combo of intense master number energy with the more intense cleansing eclipse pattern again here as well. 

(Remember what I’ve said previously about how it is the nature of new milleniums to force societal change? It’s because of the new 11 year patterns!  And our first 11 year of a new century rife with 11 years has this much cleansing eclipse energy associated with it.  Does this energy occur because of the numbers and astral events?  Or do the numbers and astral events reflect what is already taking place?  That’s a chicken or the egg argument I think.)

• July 7th eclipse was on the heel of our nation’s Master Number 22 birthday cycle, while July 22 was a total solar eclipse and coincides smack on top of a 22 Master Number day. The Master Number 22 that we as a nation are just entering as an annual cycle.

• Super sun spots materialized on July 4th – the Master Number 22/4 day, that was also a significant date for the US entering a new 22 cycle. Later the cluster began to wane on July 7th, the day of the lunar eclipse. I already noted an arc of energetic influence between these two dates – the Super Sun Spot’s behavior just reinforced this idea of more intense energetic influence.

This blog takes for granted that its readers know at least a little something about numerology if they are here, reading what I tend to write about.  I don’t write about basic numerology because there are plenty of other resources where you can learn about that elsewhere.  Pretty much all books on the subject can provide you with a place to start when it comes to basic numerological thought and number meanings.  And it’s just not the focus on this blog.

Sun Spots – Solar Eclipses – Master Numbers – 11:11 – Numerology – Astrology – Astronomy – Predictions & Prophesy

I like metaphysics.  There is meaning in looking at the world and its flow from an “outside” point of view.  I like to cross-reference a variety of information and events when I write about numerology and it’s layers of influence and where patterns overlap or collide.  And in all these things, I like to be very clear about information and facts I might reference.  You know, those things based on what is known and what has been traditionally understood.  It’s just good journalism. 

Currently the internet is alive with hubabbub about the Solar Eclipse getting ready to take place in just a few hours.  However, in the midst of it all, there is also mis-information amok.  It’s no wonder sometimes that skeptics might dump us all into the same new age bucket of all that’s odd.  So to add a little balance and maybe some clarification, I present some points of reference for my discerning readers:

1.  The solar eclipse begins on July 22 Universal Time.  I generally post information about astrological events in UT because I like to get my astronomical info from NASA and that is what they do.  Using Universal Time is generally considered a standard, and perhaps too many of us take for granted that others would know this.  But this point also means that in the Western part of the world, the solar eclipse begins on July 21st – tonight. 

From a numerological standpoint – I repeat myself again – when looking at world influence when it comes to numbers, you must remind yourself that there are always two different dates in operation on this planet at any one time. 

2.  I’ve read in a few places today that this is the longest solar eclipse ever, the longest in the 21st century, the longest in our lifetimes, etc..  None of this is exactly correct.  The July 22, 2009 solar eclipse is the longest total solar eclipse to take place within the Saros Series 136 and also to occur within the 21st Century.  There are several variables involved with today’s solar event and more than one type of solar eclipse to note. 

The longest solar eclipse in the saros Series 136 altogether was actually June 20, 1955.  And the Saros Series 136 itself began First Eclipse ->  1360 Jun 14   and the Last Eclipse ->  2622 Jul 30, making a total Duration for Saros 136  =  1262.11 Years.  “Solar eclipses of Saros 136 all occur at the Moon’s descending node and the Moon moves northward with each eclipse.” 

(Additional note: the last solar eclipse back on January 26, 2009 was from from a different series called the Saros Series 131. And it happened to be the longest annular solar eclipse in the entire Saros Series 131.  Solar eclipses of Saros 131 all occur at the Moon’s ascending node and the Moon moves southward with each eclipse.) 

So the point being, yes, it’s very cool we finally get to see a long total solar eclipse in a while, but it is not quite the unique event of our lifetime some people are painting.  You can read about this and more on the Saros Series 136 on NASA’s website for yourself here: http://eclipse.gsfc.nasa.gov/SEsaros/SEsaros136.html.

3.  Numerologically, July 22nd carries the vibrations of 11 and 22.  I’ve seen references to “The 11:11” and other things on a few blogs, and even one of my readers wrote to me about it as well.  (And thanks to Sandie for giving me a push to finish writing this article sooner! :wink:)  Of the references I’ve read, I haven’t found this “11:11” presentation numerologically logical.  The skeptics out there are laughing at that statement, but they are going to laugh anyway.

This sort of number play in all honesty reminds me too much of theology class, where one professor could take a scripture and make it mean one thing and another professor could take the same scripture and make it support a completely different point of view.  It also reminds me of things like statistics class and the book by Darrell Huff, “How to Lie with Statistics.”  Simply put, it is possible to manipulate information to say what you want or to match your belief system.  I talk to people all the time who really, really want to see 11:11 or some other sign in their lives.  Sometimes they do witness significant patterns of note.  And sometimes a clock is just a clock and my shoe size has nothing to do with my social security number.

July 22, 2009 is in totality a 22 or 4 day depending on your method of reduction.  It may be during an 11 year, but it is not numeroligcally sound to create 11:11 from 7 +22 = 29/11 and then set 11 year next to that with a : in the middle, voila making it 11:11.  July is intense with plenty of numerological patterns already without having to come up with something that is not even standard tradition.  If this were acceptable “number magic,” then by logic, because numerology does demand a cord of logic through the center, somewhere between 24 and 36 dates this year will be 11:11.  Perhaps others find some value in this approach, however I do not support this view.

What I do see is the diversion away from the important message of 22.  Of and by itself, 22 on any particular day is not necessarily all that astounding.  And generally I wouldn’t even consider this particular July 22 to be all that special.   In the method of simple Pythagorean reduction, where every portion of day, month and year is reduced once before reduction, arguably one of our oldest and most simplest method of reduction, you get 22.  Because there are more advanced methods of reduction logic in our modern world now, and we tend to respect our double digits more than we did in the old world style, I look at this as a lesser influence than if I do not have to reduce at all.

So why do I have this date noted in my list of numerologically interesting dates?  Because of the recent shift of USA moving into a 22 cycle, the presence of the 11 year, and the total solar eclipse taking place on this date.  This qualifies to me as a convergence of energies that I want to take note of.  Eclipses have throughout history been symbolic of cleansing and facing challenges.  Master numbers are symbolic of facing challenges, the “hand of destiny” and holding ourselves to a higher standard. 

Spiritually speaking, seeing these events take place together, represents a very significant time to face, cleanse and overcome and denotes a more societal movement.  That sort of process also generally brings with it an unveiling of some sort, and a revealing of truth – sometimes something we didn’t want to see.  As such, I find myself taking note.

Observing the world for patterns is something I highly encourage anyone to participate in.  Even Christ said to be watchful in all things.  All of our great philosophers and scientists advocated looking at the world in a different way and using our powers of observation to glean understanding and even wisdom about this life we live.  My goal in writing is simply to share what, in my own quirky way, I observe.  But I do hope, before you go accepting my word on whatever you read here, that you’ll click on the links and go check it out yourself.  In the end, I think you’ll see where I’m coming from much clearer.

Sun Spots and Crop Circles…

Btw…  The Lunar eclipse is today….

The movie link is now gone at www.spaceweather.com.  However, I noticed their site has now posted a reference to some people writing to them because they believed the sunspots and some crop circles were somehow connected and predicted a solar storm to happen today.   (Solar storm is highly unlikely.) 

I realize the idea presented might be from a notion that crop circles on earth are similar to, or reflective of, sun spots on the sun.  But…..  as metaphysical as I might be, I must say that this idea is not logical to me.  Especially knowing just how many hoaxes there are.  (Though I also don’t quite buy the stoned wallabies theory either.) 

As numerologists, we operate from the idea that this universe is founded upon number and pattern.  That this plane of existence, by spiritual law even, operates from a set of patterns, standards, tendencies and law.  These laws can be bent at times, however, everything does operate from a framework that at it’s core is “logical” and references pattern.  (There’s an excellent book out there called “The Reflexive Universe” by Arthur Young that talks about this tendency of pattern and even growth.) 

Spiritually speaking we can talk about physical events and experiences as having a spiritual meaning to our soul, which is not completely bound by the physical plane.  But cause and effect on the physical plane alone is different. 

Personally, I see things like sun spots and magnetars as influential on a spiritual level as a planetary retrograde.  Logically, IF you accept that a Mercury Retrograde has effect upon us, then by far, so must things like sun spots and magnetic radioactive waves unleashed by the closest magnetars be considered too.  If it’s strong enough to knock out a satellite, my feeling is then whether we’re conscious of it or not, it has at least a spiritual effect as well.  (If you’re interested in magnetars from an astrological point of view, check out www.astropro.com for his article on the subject.)

The point: when I take note of celestial events, it’s largely because I’m considering the spiritual impact of this system we live in, not too unlike the impact of one organ of our body upon another.   I’m looking for the pattern.  Numerology operates in layers upon layers.  You are the center of your own universe.  But who you live with, where you live, etc. – in all it’s layers – also have an effect upon your reality as the vibrations interact with your own unique chord vibration.  Spiritual impacts generally add stresses to us.  And as I am wont to tome, it’s not what happens to you, but what you do with it.  A Healthy Life is always Interesting at it’s very least. 

Numerology and Astrology and Palmistry and all the rest are simply tools to help remind us that life has it’s reasons and that what this existence is really about is how graceful and lovingly you Live and Choose.

I do find planetary sized sun spots in clusters to be very interesting spiritually, especially when they coincide with Master Number events.  And in my never-ending QUEST FOR THE PATTERN what I note is this:  First, the super sun spots materializing on July 4th – the Master Number 22 day, indicating the US entering a 22 cycle.  And now the cluster beginning to wane on July 7th, the day of our next lunar eclipse.  I already noted an arc of influence between these two dates – the Super Sun Spot’s appearance just reinforced this idea of energetic influence.  Such events happen regularly, but in today’s world, when I observe these events layering up upon one another or colliding, I get more interested.  So if you’re wondering about all this on a more spiritual level, that would be my 2 cents view.

www.spaceweather.com does post that: “A solar wind stream flowing from the indicated coronal hole could reach Earth on or about July 12th.”  July 11th is a date of numerological impact, so of course I’m curiously watching.

Humanity has always looked to the heavens for signs and understanding of our existence, whether on a soul level, or simply to understand scientifically why something like the vast universe exists, how it works and how it relates to our own little corner.  And perhaps to simply pull us back out of the mundane and remind us of how incredibly miraculous it is to exist at all.
